My birthday is this Friday and the Xbox One went on sale this week (A sign from the Gods of Games?). Consumers can buy the 500GB model Xbox One with a controller and a game for $350 now through early January 2015. Our baby, Jett, is scheduled to have a birthday here pretty shortly which means a lot of changes on the financial front. I've been fighting getting a next-gen console for a while solely due to financial needs. But $350 just might make the cut at being a good enough deal. Plus I'd get the bragging rights of having my game right there on the big screen in my house. But if the University of Utah ends up backing out of the deal with Microsoft, I guess I will still have a fun entertainment center, albeit sans a dose of my own pride and joy.
