Film & Culture - Fall 2009
My instructor, Nathan Jones, was one of the most fun and probably the funniest teacher I have had. He has made several short films including a not-so-popular Mormon Mockumentary "The Work and The Story." It's an entertaining bit or locals, but couldn't spread it's reach outside of Utah. But he was very educated in film and taught us a lot. The two best films we watched in the class were the classics "The Graduate" and "The Wizard of Oz." I watched these films over and I learned how to dig deeper and deeper into every little bit of a film. I wrote a paper on each of the aforementioned films about what I think the meanings are of certain events and the overall meaning of the film.
